For residents of Lake County, Minnesota, graduates of a Lake, Cook or St. Louis County High School who are seeking a career in rural health care, this $1,000 scholarship is gifted in two annual $500 sums.

Be accepted to the College of St. Scholastica RN Nursing Program, the University of Minnesota Duluth School of Medicine, or Lake Superior College RN Nursing Program.Career goal of being a family practice physician, nurse practitioner or registered nurse in a rural health care setting.

3M Skilled Trade Scholarship for Underrepresented Groups - Spring 2026 Scholarship

With a focus on promoting equity and access to high-demand fields, this scholarship is open to students studying programs such as welding, electrical work, HVAC, manufacturing, mechatronics, renewable energy, and construction. Recipients will be selected based on their commitment to pursuing a career in the skilled trades, academic performance, and their potential to contribute to the workforce in innovative and impactful ways.

APWA-MN Chapter Scholarships

The APWA-MN Chapter awards academic scholarships to college and technical college/school students that:

  • Financially assist students in civil engineering, public works administration, construction management, geographic information systems, or other closely related curricula.
  • Financially assist students in civil engineering technology programs, drafting, design, inspections, surveying, or other closely related curricula.
  • Increase the interest in the public works profession by publicizing the APWA-MN Chapter and the scholarship program.

Application Requirements

  • Student must be a Minnesota resident or an APWA-MN Student Chapter member (not necessarily attending a Minnesota university/school).
  • College Scholarship Applicants: Applicant must be entering their third (junior) year or higher and poursuing a public works-related degree: civil engineering, public works administration, construction management, or other closely related curriculum.
  • Technical School Scholarship Applicants: Applicant must be a technical college student entering their second year or higher and enrolled in a public works-related degree program: civil engineering, drafting, design, inspections, surveying, GIS, forestry, natural resources, horticulture, water certificate/utility operators, biological science, or fleet management.
  • Consideration will be given to financial need, academic achievement, character, participation in professional organizations, and previous work experience in the area of public works.

Award: One scholarship at $5,000 and four scholarships at $2,500 each

Emberg Scholarship

The Emberg Scholarship is providing scholarships for deserving students. The Center for Scholarship Administration, Inc. (CSA), a non-profit, independent organization is the facilitator of the scholarship fund.

Applicants Must:

  • Be high school seniors or graduates of high schools throughout Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin.
  • Have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Demonstrate good character, academic ability, and readiness.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Plan to attend full-time an accredited vocational, technical or trade school located within the Northeastern Minnesota or Northwestern Wisconsin area(see Qualified Institutions for list of approved schools).

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in academic programs leading to a career in prominent regional industries, like forestry or aircraft maintenance.

Microsoft Cybersecurity Scholarship Program

For all academic classifications for students enrolled in a U.S. community college who are pursuing a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or cyber-adjacent degrees such as information technology, computer science, data systems, etc.

The 2026 Real Voices Essay Coaching Award will open on April 1, 2026. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2026.

The Space to Succeed Scholarship

he Storage Center will award three (3) $5,000 scholarships to students who have shown a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Applicants must submit a 500-800 word essay demonstrating their commitment to their local community and explain how their education will help them continue and expand this impact. The essay serves as a reflection of the applicant’s dedication, initiative, and vision for the future. Applicants must also submit both a headshot photo and a photo showing their work in the community for entry. These photos will be used for winner announcements on the scholarship website and promoted on social media.
