PSEO Application Process and Forms

New Students

Getting ready to apply to PSEO

  1. Meet with your high school counselor to determine if you meet the academic requirements to apply (class rank or gpa).
  2. Thoroughly and legibly complete (in black or blue ink) and return signed copies of the necessary forms to the PSEO advisor at Lake Superior College. Reminder:  Signatures of student, parent and counselor are required on specific forms.
  3. Once ALL completed application materials are received at LSC, we will begin processing your application. Processing time is between 7-10 business days.  You will receive an email with the next steps, which include registering for your PSEO classes.  Be sure you follow up in a timely manner with any email requests.
  4. It is your responsibility to discuss with your high school counselor which courses you need to fulfill high school graduation requirements. Your high school counselor will complete an enrollment planning form will indicate which courses are required.

What is the Application Process for New Students

Step 1: Apply for admission to LSC by completing the Online Application.

Step 2: Submit all required forms (see list below). Forms that are incomplete or illegible will not be accepted and may delay the application process.

Step 3: Complete any necessary steps communicated to you by LSC or your high school.

Step 4: Sign up for a PSEO registration session (in person or independent options available)

 

Required Forms for New Students:

  1. LSC Online Application for Admission (or download a paper application.)
  2. PSEO State Form (NOSR)
  3. Enrollment Planning Form
  4. High School or Home School transcript
  5. Recommended: AP scores and official transcripts from any other college or university you have attended. Our transfer coordinator will provide information about which credits will transfer to LSC.

Other Minnesota State College transcripts

If you have attended another college or university (excluding the U of MN) within the Minnesota State system, you do not need to order a transcript.  LSC is able to electronically download your transcript after you apply.
