International Student Restrictions

International students are no longer eligible to enroll in flight programs, Professional Pilot AAS or Pilot Diploma, at Lake Superior College.

International students must enroll in at least 9 on-campus credits from their total of 12 credits required for full-time enrollment. Due to an increase in completely online course offerings of some programs, international students are no longer eligible to enroll completely in the following programs:

  • Accountant AAS
  • Business Transfer Pathway
  • Computer & Web Technology, Certificate Diploma & AAS
  • Cyber Defense Certificate
  • Cyber Security Certificate
  • Health Fitness Specialist Certificate
  • Legal Secretary Certificate
  • Network Administration & Cyber Security Certificate, Diploma or AAS
  • Paralegal Studies, Certificate or AAS

International Student Application Deadlines

New student currently outside of the U.S.
Spring Semester: November 1
Summer Semester: No summer session admission
Fall Semester: June 1

Transfer student in the U.S.
Spring Semester: 2nd Friday before first day of the semester
Summer Semester: May 15 by request
Fall Semester: 1nd Friday before first day of the semester

*If you are not a U.S. citizen and not an immigrant apply as an international student. If you are a permanent resident, refugee or person with political asylum status, apply as a new, transfer or returning student instead.

Acceptance into the college does not guarantee enrollment into career and technical programs. To enroll into a program:

  • Your academic record and results of the placement test taken during orientation must meet pre-program requirements listed in the program guide
  • Space must be available in the program.
