Students interested in the on-campus (traditional) PTA program may apply at any time. Applications for fall admission are due annually by March 1 and are accepted after March 1 as program space allows. Visit “Admission to the PTA Program” for details.  

Students applying to the on-campus program are required to complete job-shadowing.  Contact information for possible job shadow sites (not a complete list) can be found by clicking JobShadowLSCPTA.  Please note that job shadowing availability maybe limited during the COVID-19 pandemic as clinics and hospitals limit visitors.  Applicants unable to complete job shadowing hours can request a partial waiver and/or alternate assignment to meet the intent of the job-shadowing.  Contact the program director at  with questions.

Students interested in the online PTA Military Bridge program may apply at any time. Applications for Spring admission are reviewed after May 20.

Students interested in the program are encouraged to observe physical therapy treatments in the Lake Superior College Physical Therapy Clinic (or other clinic) to see personally the physical requirements of work as a PTA.
