Grab breakfast and check in with the LSC Auto Club. Sign up for free auto checks with the auto school students and faculty on Student Success Day between 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Sign up in the Main Concourse with breakfast - Pro Tip: come early to get on the list!

Art Instructor Theresa Burke will guide you through a step-by-step acrylic landscape painting. Take a break from meticulous coursework and make art purely for fun! Materials are provided. This session is limited to 10 students. Get there early to avoid disappointment. If you miss this session, come back to the Art Building for Wind Down with Watercolor at 10 am or Clay Carving at 1 pm or 2 pm.

Come hear from a panel of LSC Nursing Alumni who once participated in a Nursing Preceptor Course. Nursing Preceptorships are offered to 3rd and 4th-semester Nursing Students.

Plan out your next steps after Lake Superior College. If you’re interested in transferring and using Transferology in your planning, have questions about your degree audit or career planning, or are figuring out the next steps after LSC, stop by during this drop-in period. 

"No life has every been saved theoretically!" Bleeds are controlled by putting your hands on the patient. This double session will include an opportunity to use major bleed props and industry standard bleeding control equipment to practice stopping major bleeds. 

Did you know there are trails surrounding the LSC Main Campus that are great to explore? Explore them with us. They are somewhat rugged in spots, so wear suitable footwear. Also, pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Walk with friends or come and meet new ones! Meet at the Student Life Kiosk by the entrance to the IceHawk Center for Equity and Inclusion.

Join us for a candid discussion with a former healthcare professional who will share his personal journey through substance reliance, the reality of workplace tampering, and the pathway toward rehab and redemption. Come hear the human story behind healthcare ethics, professional boundaries, and the reality of addiction.

There are many scholarships available, and many people applying for them. How can your application stand out? In this session you’ll learn about the scholarships that LeadMN offers (and where to find others), how to write a winning essay, and what makes a good application stand out from the crowd.

The presenter will provide students with advice on how to succeed in Human Anatomy and Physiology.  Topics covered will include advice on time management, studying for exams, getting off to a good start, and how to use available resources.

These questions and many more can be brought forth in this interactive session on applying for, interviewing and accepting positions!

Free thrifting, open to all! Bring a bag to the swap to take home your new treasures!

Donations welcome but not required to participate. Please donate any clean clothing in good shape that students would be excited to find! We kindly ask that items that are stained, ripped, dirty, or in poor condition not be donated.

Interested in getting involved on campus? Stop by and check out the LSC Student Clubs in the Erickson Library from 11 am - 12 pm to meet club representatives, learn about their mission, activities, and meeting times, and find out how to join.

If you discover a club you like, check the whiteboard at the library entrance for afternoon meeting schedules. Some clubs will hold meetings from 3:00 p.m. -3:50 p.m. where interested students can dive deeper into what the club offers and how to get involved. To find out where club meetings are, check out the whiteboard at the entrance of the Erickson Library or check in with the clubs during the showcase.

Grab a free lunch (12:00 - 1:00 P.M.) and enjoy LSC choir in the Commons at lunchtime for live music from 12:00 - 12:30 P.M.

Earlier in the day, the Student Club Showcase in the Erickson Library featured many of the active student clubs on campus. During 2 pm - 3 pm, some of the clubs may be hosting meetings.  

These meetings are where you can learn more about the club and find out how to participate and become a member. Club meetings will be arranged by the student clubs and are not organized or managed by the Student Success Day team. Please see the whiteboard at the Erickson Library entrance for scheduled club meetings at this time and their locations.
