The Blue Water Big Band is a 13-member group that plays a variety of songs from the early days of swing up through the 70’s and 80’s. You might here a twist on the classic “In the Mood” alongside “Old Time Rock and Roll,” or a tango right before the Louis Armstrong classic, “What a Wonderful World.” The band includes LSC English instructor Kelli Hallsten Erickson, and the group is thrilled to play at LSC for the first time for this spring’s Student Success Day.
LeadMN will provide education on recognizing signs of burnout and managing stress to prevent burnout. This includes strategizing self-care, developing study habits that work for you, and balancing the many pressing responsibilities in life. LeadMN will also provide snacks and beverages!

No life has ever been saved theoretically. This 50-minute session presents empowering skills using hands-on props to stop any bleed. The goal is to leave this session as an enabled bystander to render life-saving bleeding control quickly and efficiently should the unfortunate need arise. This follows the Stop the Bleed Course, but no certification is provided for this session. Our very own Fire Club will assist with this training session. Repeated at 10 am.
The presenter will provide students with advice on how to succeed in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Topics covered will include advice on time management, studying for exams, getting off to a good start, and how to use available resources.

Learn about LSC services and resources, along with community guests. Guests include colleges, universities, non-profits, local organizations and community members. Don't miss the ERTC Fire Club giving rig tours of their fire engine and an ambulance at the main entrance.
Student Success Day is a great day full of resources, fun, and excitement, but it may also be overwhelming and overstimulating. The sensory room will be available as a safe and calming environment to help relieve those feelings of overwhelm or overstimulation. Come by to relax, reset, and recharge to better enjoy the rest of your Student Success Day!
