LSC’s Spring Art Show to Highlight Students’ Traditional and Digital Work

Lake Superior College’s annual student Spring Art Exhibit opens Monday, April 30 at noon with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit runs through Wednesday, May 2.

Open to the public, the free reception will include refreshments and an opportunity to meet the student artists. Free parking is available on campus.

Students enrolled in LSC’s popular art courses will have an opportunity to display their work during the exhibit. For many of the approximately 350 participating students, it will be their first-ever exhibition.

Students will present a variety of art, including watercolor, sculpture, jewelry, digital photography and drawing, painting, drawing, two and three-dimensional design projects, and ceramics. Many of the works will be available for purchase.

Artwork will be displayed in the upper and lower concourse in LSC’s main building. Bid sheets are available at docent tables. The exhibit will be open during regular campus hours, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning at noon on Monday, April 30, and continuing through Wed., May 2.

LSC offers an Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) degree that is fully transferable to four-year institutions.
