Lake Superior College (LSC) will hold its spring commencement ceremony on Monday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s (DECC) Symphony Hall.
The 2026 graduating class includes approximately 750 students graduating with a certificate, diploma, or associate degree representing 70 different program areas. Of those 750 students, 98 will earn multiple awards. With the popularity of Minnesota’s Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program, 58 high school students will simultaneously receive both their high school diploma and college award from LSC.
Nearly half of the graduating class will graduate with honors, including 206 graduating with High Honors. Graduates range in age from 17 to 70 and this will be the first ceremony honoring graduates from Limited X-Ray Operator Diploma and Medical Lab Assistant Certificate programs.
Commencement speakers will include LSC Student Senate President Christopher Nikcevich, Minnesota State Trustee Roger Moe and City of Duluth Mayor Roger Reinert, who is also a former instructor at LSC. This will also be the first commencement ceremony for Dr. Linda Kingston as President of Lake Superior College.
“Commencement is one of the most meaningful days of the year because it celebrates the hard work, persistence and achievement of our students,” said Kingston. “We are proud of each graduate and excited to see the impact they will make in our communities.”
For the second consecutive year, the Spring Nursing Pinning Ceremony will take place in the Commons on the main campus Friday, May 15, with two ceremonies at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The Radiologic Technology program will also host its Pinning Ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, in Hawks Landing on the main campus.
All events are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.
