Purchasing books at the LSC Store

If you have a FAFSA on file at LSC, you may charge your books against your financial aid at the LSC Store. When purchasing your books, please inform the LSC Store that you should have financial aid to cover the cost of your purchases. You must sign an agreement stating that you are responsible for book charges if your financial aid does not cover the items charged.

You CANNOT charge your books against your financial aid once the drop/add period has ended.

Purchasing books online through the LSC Store: Online students can purchase their books online at the LSC Store.  If you have a FAFSA on file at LSC, you may charge your books against your financial aid by listing “financial aid” as your form of payment when ordering your books online.

How to find out if you have enough financial aid to pay for books

Check your financial aid estimated awards under the appropriate credit level to determine the amount of grant funding you should receive. If you have borrowed a Stafford loan, add the amount you will receive for the semester to your grant funding amount. (You must have completed the Stafford Loan Online process and had your loan certified by the college before your loan will be considered as financial aid.) Check “Bills and Payment” in your e-services account to determine your charges.

Please be aware that you will be responsible for book charges if your financial aid does not cover the items charged.
