Student Spring Art Exhibit Opens May 2

Lake Superior College’s Annual Student Spring Art Exhibit opens Monday, May 2 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Students are presenting a variety of art including watercolor, sculpture, metalsmithing, photography, painting and drawing, visual arts and ceramics. For many of the approximately 400 participating students, it is their first-ever exhibition.

The students plan, promote, organize and run the event, which is as much an opportunity to manage an art show as it is to display their art.

Artwork is displayed in the upper and lower concourse and Atrium in LSC’s main building. The exhibit will be open during regular campus hours, 9 a.m -7 p.m., beginning at noon on Monday, May 2, and continuing through Wednesday, May 4.

The opening reception will also feature the LSC Student Choir. There will be free refreshments to nosh as you peruse.
