LSC Clay Target Coach Pappas to be Inducted into MTA Hall of Fame
Pappas is the third individual from the greater Duluth area to be inducted.

DULUTH, Minn. – Lake Superior College Clay Target Head Coach George Pappas will be part of the 2024 class inducted into the Minnesota Trapshooting Association (MTA) Hall of Fame this June; it was announced on Wednesday.

Pappas will be joined by Mike Michaelis to makeup the 2024 class with the induction ceremony taking place this upcoming June at the Minnesota State Shoot.

Pappas is the first head coach of the LSC Clay Target team and was hired in August of 2017 after more than 39 years of experience in clay target shooting. He accumulated over 200 trophies in State, Satellite Grand and Grand American competitions.

This past fall, Pappas guided the IceHawks to a first-place finish in the USA National Conference 4, a runner-up finish in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) and a sixth-place finish out of 41 schools at the USA National Championship Tournament.

Get a chance to learn from a Hall of Famer this spring and consider joining the Spring Clay Target team. To participate on the team takes approximately one (1) hour per week. When registering for Spring classes, talk with your advisor about signing up for Intercollegiate Trapshooting I (HPER 1408) or Trapshooting II (HPER 1409) . The class is one (1) credit.
