Lake Superior College has hired Leonard Johnson as a Customized Training Representative for LSC’s Workforce Development division.
He will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with partner companies who require training coursework across a wide range of topics within industrial technology, workplace safety and manufacturing. His focus will be to ensure organizations succeed and remain competitive by continuously developing a highly trained workforce through tailored training programs provided by Lake Superior College.
Previously, Johnson was employed at Enbridge Energy where he worked as a Crossing Coordinator within their major projects division and then as a Contracts Coordinator within supply chain management. Johnson also worked in business development within the high-tech industry — at Citon Computer Corporation as an Information Technology Solutions Specialist and at Compudyne as a Senior Account Executive.
He holds a B.A. in business administration with a concentration in management information systems from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Johnson also participated in the Blandin Community Leadership program, Leadership Duluth, and the Academy of Advancing Community. He has served on the board of directors at the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and Hermantown Chamber of Commerce, advocating for the success of organizations across the region.
