Katherine Stolp Hired as Perkins Grant Coordinator at LSC

Katherine Stolp has been hired for the position of the Carl D. Perkins grant coordinator at Lake Superior College. Carl D. Perkins federal funding provides for the improvement of secondary and postsecondary career and technical education programs. The position had previously been filled by longtime coordinator Jim Schwarzbauer, who retired from LSC this summer.

Stolp will be responsible for providing campus strategic leadership and coordination for the LSC Perkins programs in program planning and evaluation, accountability, and fiscal matters. In collaboration with area consortium schools, she will develop and implement articulation agreements and career and technical education programs that fit the needs of the regional workforce.

Prior to LSC, Stolp served as a career specialist/recruiter at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) in Superior since 2012.

She earned a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She also earned a master’s of education degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
