Jestina Vichorek has been hired as Executive Human Resources Officer for Lake Superior College. In her role, she will be responsible for directing and managing all aspects of human resources functions for the college which employs more than 377 individuals.

Vichorek brings a wide variety of HR experience to LSC, most recently working at the Minnesota Department of Corrections at Willow River/Moose Lake where she served as Human Resources Assistant Director. Prior to Moose Lake, Vichorek worked for Nemidji Hospital and Health Care for four years as an HR Specialist where she was responsible for recruitment and retention, training, legal compliance and policies and procedures.

Vichorek earned two bachelor’s degrees with honors from Hamline University: one in Political Science and Government/Public Administration and the other in Legal Studies and Advanced Professional Studies. She was a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and is also an American Bar Association certified paralegal with corporate experience, notably with 3M.
