CIS Students Win Fourth in DATAGON sprint

Nine CIS students participated in the 2017 Data Derby Data Analytics competition. AdvanceIT Minnesota launched the 2017 Data Derby Minnesota, an annual multi-disciplinary competition open to all Minnesota State institutions that allows student teams to compete and present data-driven answers to defined problems and societal issues. LSC students competed with other two-year, four-year and graduate students. The competition was held at Hennepin Technical College (Eden Prairie campus) on Saturday, April 8, and comprised of two challenge events: the 3.5-week extended DATATHON and the same-day DATAGON sprint.

The team of Lucas Shanley and Dakota Trumbull advocated by Anup Parajuli won 4th place, honorable mention in the DATAGON sprint.
