Alyssa Schwanke Hired as Education-Industry Partnership Coordinator for Lake Superior College’s Customized Training and Community Education

Alyssa Schwanke has been hired as the Education-Industry Partnership Coordinator for Lake Superior College’s Customized Training and Community Education (CTCE) department.

In her role, she will be responsible for managing external communications and outreach within the Customized Training and Community Education department. She will also help represent CTCE by developing and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, governmental agencies, employers, and institutions of higher education, as well as helping provide leadership and direction within the department.

Schwanke was previously employed at PureDriven, LLC, in Two Harbors, MN where she was the Office & Facilities Manager and Driven to Learn Coordinator. While there, she designed a training program for client marketing strategists and business development managers within the company.  She also performed executive administrative assistant duties and coordinated projects for the leadership team.  Prior, she also served as the Marketing and Events Coordinator for J&B Group, INC/ (No Name® Steaks) in St. Michael, MN.

Schwanke earned her M.A. in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and a B.B.A. in Organizational Management, with a minor in Deaf Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). She has also completed the Kirby Leadership Institute training at UMD. She serves on the Executive Board of UMD’s Bulldogs of the Last Decade, Young Alumni Association and is a member of the Minnesota College Professionals Association.
