Removing Barriers ADA Workshop
The City of Duluth Office of Human Rights and Lake Superior College invite you to a presentation on “Improving Access by Removing Barriers” by David Fenley, Director at the Minnesota Council on Disability, on September 22nd from 10:00-12:00 at Lake Superior College in the Commons.
David will share information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how you can ensure compliance and a welcoming space for people with disabilities. The Minnesota Council on Disability was established in 1973 and strives to create a barrier-free Minnesota, guided by the principles of accessibility, equity, and independence. They ensure policymakers understand how the disability community is impacted by decisions, and work with various sectors to promote the rights of those with disabilities. The Minnesota Council on Disability collaborates with government agencies, community organizations, and businesses to ensure compliance with accessibility laws and regulations, and is excited to share its knowledge with you.
