Tim Brandon Named LSC Auto Body Technology Instructor

Tim Brandon has been hired as unlimited full time (UFT) faculty to teach in Lake Superior College’s Auto Body Technology program. He will be responsible for moving the curriculum to I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) certification, recruiting new students and building industry/community partnerships.

At an early age, Brandon began working in the family-owned auto dealership Chester Park Motors and he has worked in the automotive industry ever since. Graduating from Lake Superior College in 2000 with an AAS degree in Automotive Collision Repair, he began as a technician at Custom Coach Collision Repair and then transitioned to owner/operator of Chester Park Sales and Service for four years in Duluth. He most recently served as general manager for Custom Coach Collision Repair in Hermantown, MN.

Brandon has also served as an Auto Body Technology advisory committee member for Lake Superior College for the past two years where he has helped assess and update the curriculum and overall direction for the auto body program.

LSC’s auto body program will be offered in fall 2018. It provides auto body technology and auto body and chassis technician diplomas. The job outlook and demand locally and nationally is consistently strong for trained auto body and chassis technicians. Employers in the Arrowhead region regularly seek out LSC automotive program graduates to employ in their businesses.
