LSC to Host Integrated Manufacturing Career Night on February 28

Seeking a well-paying and challenging job? Strong workforce demand continues in the Twin Ports for machinists, welders and engineering CAD designers. The manufacturing industry seeks to hire employees trained with current technical skills to fill numerous well-paying trade positions in the Arrowhead region and beyond.

Learn more about training options in these trades at Lake Superior College’s Feb. 28 Integrated Manufacturing Career Night. The free event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at LSC’s Downtown Center, 120 N. Second Ave. West, in downtown Duluth.

The Career Night will offer participants a chance to interact with exciting high-tech equipment including computerized machines, 3D printers and scanners, robotic welders, waterjet and plasma cutting, and CAD design software.

Faculty and students will give tours of the machining, welding and CAD lab facilities and equipment. Advisors will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about financial aid, transfer, and other service areas.
