WHO: LSC student Art Club members and community volunteers will throw bowls for two days in a row to create ceramics to be sold at a later date to benefit the community food shelves. “Last year, we made 200 bowls. This year, we are setting a goal to make at least 250 bowls,” said Cody Olander, LSC art faculty member and club adviser. “The LSC Art Club supplies the tools, materials, and studio space and invites area potters, students, faculty, and anyone willing to help to bring their skills, dedication, and creativity.”

WHAT: The LSC Art Club organizes a fundraising activity with community outreach to fulfill their club mission every year. This year, the LSC Art Club will create beautiful ceramic bowls that will be sold at a later date to raise money for the community food bank. “We encourage everyone to come in and lend a hand. You don’t have to be experienced in clay to help because there’s plenty to do,” said Isi Grauer, president of the LSC Student Art Club. “We always have a good time and meet interesting people. It’s a great opportunity to volunteer and give back to the community.”
