Lake Superior College to Celebrate Over 750 Graduates at Spring Commencement Monday
LSC will hold Pinning Ceremonies for Radiologic Technology and Nursing on Friday, May 16.

The Lake Superior College Spring Commencement ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s (DECC) Symphony Hall.

The 2025 class features 754 students graduating with a certificate, diploma, or associate degree representing 68 different program areas. Of those 754 students, 93 will earn multiple awards. Thanks to the growing popularity of Minnesota’s Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program, 55 high school students will simultaneously receive both their high school diploma and college award from LSC.

Of the graduating class, an impressive 48.5% will graduate with honors, including 235 graduating with High Honors. Graduates range in age from 18 to 66, reflecting the diversity of the LSC student body.

Commencement speakers will include LSC Student Senate President Alexis Six and Bethany M. Owen, Chair, President, and CEO of ALLETE Inc. Lake Superior College President Dr. Patricia Rogers, who is retiring at the end of this academic year, will preside over the ceremony one final time.

“Commencement is always one of the most joyful moments of the year, and this one is especially meaningful for me,” said President Rogers. “As I prepare to retire, I’m filled with gratitude and pride in the remarkable students we’ve served. It has been the honor of my career to witness their growth, resilience, and success.”

What’s new this year is that the Spring Nursing Pinning Ceremony will take place on the Main Campus on Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m. in the newly-renovated Commons. In recent years it had taken place prior to Commencement at the Harborside Ballroom. The Radiologic Technology program will also host its Pinning Ceremony on Friday at 10 a.m. in Hawks Landing on the main campus.

All events are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. For more details, visit www.lsc.edu/commencement.
