Lake Superior College and Minnesota State University, Mankato to Announce Aviation-Pilot Transfer Agreement

WHAT: Campus leaders from Lake Superior College and Minnesota
State University, Mankato will hold a brief news conference and signing
ceremony on Friday morning to announce a new transfer agreement between the two schools. The transfer agreement will provide students interested in becoming professional commercial pilots a clear path to success in four years or less. LSC has experienced an enrollment increase of 31% in the professional pilot program this year, and continues to be seen as a regional leader in aviation training.

WHO: Campus leaders from both schools including Dr. Patricia Rogers, President of Lake Superior College, and Dr. Richard Davenport, President of Minnesota State University, Mankato will provide brief remarks. Community leaders and elected officials have also been invited. Tom Werner, Executive Director of the Duluth International Airport, will provide remarks regarding the importance of aviation to the regional economy and the growing need for trained commercial pilots.
