Kaitlin Campbell Hired as Dental Hygiene Faculty at Lake Superior College

Lake Superior College has hired Kaitlin Campbell as a part-time unlimited dental hygiene faculty member at Lake Superior College.

Campbell holds a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Minnesota State University Mankato and an A.A S. dental hygiene degree from Lake Superior College. Campbell’s extensive dental hygienist experience includes positions with Lake Superior Dental Associates in Duluth; Lawler Family Dentistry in Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Dr. Neal O’Shaughnessy’s dental office in Superior, WI.

Lake Superior College’s dental hygiene program graduates 20 students every year. The two-year program consistently earns high pass rates of 95% to 100% for the national written licensing exam, the clinical regional licensing exam, and the state laws exam. LSC graduates enjoy job placement rates of 95% to 100% within six months of graduation. Many graduates stay and work in northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.

LSC’s dental hygiene program incorporates a community dental clinic which provides low-cost preventive care to individuals. Services provided include prophylaxis, periodontal treatment, radiographs, fluoride treatment, dental screenings, vital tooth whitening, fabrication of sport mouth guards, sealants, placement of localized antibiotics, smoking cessation counseling, nutritional counseling, and oral hygiene instruction.
