“How Can We Keep from Singing?” May 8 Choir Concert

Songs to celebrate the spring season will be featured at the free Lake Superior College choir concert on Monday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Atrium. Free parking is available on campus.

The LSC Concert Choir will perform under the direction of Patricia Dorn with accompanist Karen Sande and guitarist Bryan James Gatten and Greg Tiburzi on percussion.

The musical program, “How Can We Keep from Singing?” includes: “Come to the Music,” “How Can I Keep From Singing,” “Hine ma tov,” “Hope for Resolution,” “Play For Me a Simple Melody,” “Circle of Life,” “Hallelujah,” “Dream a Little Dream,” “Bound for Jubilee,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “Home and the Heartland.”

“Just Friends” is the featured guest choir under the direction of Jean Witte.

“Just Friends” is a vocal ensemble that has been singing together for more than ten years. They are a group of friends from Duluth and Hermantown who love singing and having fun while producing a rich, full blend. They sing a wide variety of music and entertain for any occasion. They also do full church services in scripture and song.
