Emergency Response Training Center Receives Gold Cross Ambulance Donation

Lake Superior College’s Emergency Response Training Center (ERTC) recently received a donation of a Gold Cross ambulance from Gold Cross/Mayo.  “This generous donation will allow us to train our EMT and fire medic students with hands-on transport of mock patients,” said ERTC Director Paula Castleman.

“The addition of this rig to our fleet will allow us to run medical calls and incorporate EMS into our fire calls. Statistically, 80-90% of fire department runs are medical assists, medical emergencies or trauma runs, so we will be able to take our student training to the next level.”

The donation, valued at $13,000, was secured through the Lake Superior College Foundation.
