Battle of the Bots at the Downtown Center May 3

Parts will fly and champions will rise on Tuesday, May 3 in Duluth at the Lake Superior College Downtown Center. After a 9 a.m. weigh-in, 17 scrappy metal warriors will attempt to tear each other to pieces for the glory of their student masters at LSC Tenth Annual Northeast MN Battle of the Bots.

Eighty-odd students from LSC, Mesabi East High School, Marshall High School, and Cromwell-Wright High School have spent months molding, welding, and machining loyal remote-controlled fighters who will risk it all for a few minutes of mechanical carnage.

The spectacle, part of LSC’s Integrated Manufacturing program, is free and open to the public. It will run from 9:30 until approximately 1 p.m.
