This year’s jacket drive will look a little different than years past. We will be collecting all new and washed jackets in good condition and then allowing students to select what they need for themselves and their dependents. All extras will be kept and distributed as needed to students.
Please only donate jackets that are in good, clean condition to our students. All sizes, including children’s sizes, are welcome!

Narratives for Change
October 30, 2025 2pm on Zoom.
The University of Minnesota’s Center for Immigration Research has compiled hundreds of short video stories of immigrant experiences of individuals who’ve come to Minnesota. Please choose 4-5 of these short videos to watch. As you watch, make note of what stands out to you, in particular when it comes to how we can better understand the experiences of our students and support the unique needs of our immigrant population.

Indigenous People’s Day Tabling Event
Monday, October 13, 2025 from 12-1pm, Student Life Kiosk
In honor of Indigenous People’s Day, stop by the Student Life Kiosk between 12 and 1pm to hear some more history about Christopher Columbus that you may not know. This is a day to honor the past, present and futures of Native peoples in the US and recognize the legacy and impact of colonialism on Native communities. More and more people are shifting away from recognizing Columbus Day and honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day by celebrating the cultures, contributions, and resilience of contemporary Native peoples.
