About Steven

I have over 40 years of experience in the aviation maintenance field including military, airline and third-party providers. After several years serving in the Learning and Development role with a major maintenance provider, I now thoroughly enjoy giving back by teaching aircraft maintenance at Lake Superior College.

I hold an FAA Mechanic certification with Airframe and Powerplant ratings, as well as the Associate Professional in Talent Development certification from the Association for Talent Development. I am based in Duluth, Minnesota.

What do you do at LSC and how do you support students/community?

I love teaching all aspects of aircraft maintenance!  Working at the Center for Advanced Aviation is a blast!

I also volunteer in the local Commemorative Air Force chapter to educate, honor and inspire through our restoration of WWII aircraft.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

It is very rewarding to see a student start with basic knowledge, work up through comprehension, then be able to apply their new knowledge and skills.
