Introduction to Digital Art This course is an introduction to creating art on the computer. Through a combination of demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on experience students learn about a variety of digital technologies and software applications currently being used by contemporary artists. Major areas covered include digital drawing/painting, design, photo manipulation, and 3-D applications. Basic
concepts of design are also covered. Students examine the aesthetic, theoretical, and historical aspects of digital art as an expressive medium. This course is intended for students with a working knowledge of Windows or Macintosh platform. MTC goal area: (6) Humanities and Fine Arts. (Prerequisites: None) (1 hr lec/4 hrs lab/0 hrs OJT)
