Cultural Anthropology An introduction to the concepts, methods, and theories of cultural anthropology, focusing on the range of variation and degree of uniformity in human behavior. This course will examine elements of socio-cultural systems: religion/magic, politics, social organization/kinship, economics, technology and environment. For anthropology, sociology, nursing, criminal justice, and social work majors as well as for students interested in broadening their world view. MTC goal areas: (5) History and the Social and Behavioral Sciences and (8) Global Perspective. (Prerequisites: College-level reading and writing, ENGL1106 highly recommended) (3 hrs lec/0 hrs lab/0 hrs OJT)
