LSC Students Perform Well at BPA State Leadership Conference
LSC took home 18 First Place Awards in the College Division

Lake Superior College (LSC) students attended the 2026 Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference earlier this month competing against other conference delegates from across the state.

LSC students collected 18 first-place finishes in various event categories with each chapter member recording av event win. Top winners included Conner Binsfield who placed first in Administrative Support Concepts, Business Law and Ethics, Ethics and Professionalism and Interview Skills. Jovana Bouche also took home four first-place wins in Computer Network Technology, Information Technology Concepts, Management/Marketing/HR Concepts and Project Management Concepts.

Students placing in the top five of individual events or in the top two of team events are eligible to attend the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee May 6-10. LSC chapter members include Binsfield, Bouche, Austin Coleman, Samantha Goodall, Amena Haidari, Marlow Iwen, Casey Lott, and Samuel Ribar.

Business Professionals of America is a national organization for middle school, high school and college students preparing for careers in business and informational technology. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of the skills learned at school. Business Professionals of America acts as a cohesive agent in the nation-wide networking of education with business and industry. BPA is contributing to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.
