Lake Superior College will hold the inaugural Future in Focus: Career and Education Expo on Tuesday, March 24 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on its main campus.
The Future in Focus Expo brings together key elements of our former Career and Transfer Fair, Grad Fair and spring Student Success Day into one campuswide event. Students will have opportunities to connect with employers and transfer partners, attend workshops and presentations, participate in the spring Grad Fair, and celebrate at the spring scholarship reception.
“Future in Focus is designed to help students take meaningful next steps toward their goals, whether that means exploring careers, preparing to transfer, connecting with employers, or getting ready for graduation,” said Lake Superior College President Linda Kingston. “By bringing these opportunities together in one event, we’re making it easier for students to focus on their future and see what’s possible.”
The expo is intended to give students time away from their regular academic routine to reflect on their goals and actively engage in planning for what comes next. Opportunities will include part-time and full-time employment, transfer pathways, career exploration, academic and career development workshops, and commencement preparation. The event will also recognize scholarship recipients and their generous donors. A free student lunch will be provided, thanks to Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union.
The schedule is split up into career, exploration, and transfer tracks based on areas of interest. Special Events and Online Accessible events are also listed separately. The event is open to students and alumni from LSC, University of Wisconsin-Superior, University of Minnesota-Duluth, and the College of St. Scholastica, as well as campus colleagues and the community.
