Lake Superior College received a bronze 2025 Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) at the council’s national conference recently in Washington, D.C.
The award, in the Postcard Single or Series category, recognizes the college’s marketing team for its Fall Registration Reminder Sticker postcard. The project was a collaborative effort between admissions and marketing. LSC graphic designer Jesse Alvar created the design, and ProPrint handled the printing and mailing.
“This recognition reflects the creativity, strategy and teamwork that go into our marketing efforts at Lake Superior College,” said David Kline, vice president of advancement and external relations. “It is especially rewarding to see a piece designed to support student enrollment and success receive national recognition. We are proud of the collaboration between our admissions and marketing teams that helped bring this project to life.”
Earlier this academic year, Lake Superior College earned the NCMPR District 5 Gold Medallion Award for the best postcard in the region. District 5 consists of all two-year schools in Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.
NCMPR’s Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievements in design, strategy and communication at community and technical colleges. It's the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marcom and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges.
This year’s awards drew 1,585 entries from 216 colleges across the country and was judged by 67 professionals from the marcom and public relations industry.
