Fill the Tacoma and IceHawks Pantry in Sam Peterson’s memory
Sunday, September 7th from 10-6pm
and
Monday, September 8th at 9am
As many of you know, Sam Peterson, former LSC student and son of beloved retired TLC professional tutor, Kelly Peterson, passed away last summer after a long and brave battle with brain cancer. To honor what would have been his 28th birthday and his spirit of generosity, Kelly and her family are organizing a food drive to benefit LSC’s IceHawks Pantry. Please join us in supporting Sam’s memory and Kelly’s family by either dropping food off to fill Sam’s prized Tacoma truck on Sunday, September 7th or by bringing a donation to the CEI on Monday, September 8th at 9am and helping Kelly unload the truck with the donations that will provide support to many of our students.

LSC at Duluth-Superior Pride
A big thank you to the LSC volunteers who met with dozens of past, current and future LSC students at last weekend’s Duluth-Superior Pride festival! The event was a huge success and a great opportunity to connect with our community. A special thanks for Amy Jo, Lindsy, Marnica, Rachael, Lynn L., Kelli, Theresa L. and a group of students for tabling on behalf of LSC!

IceHawks Pantry needs you!
121 students have visited IceHawks Pantry in the first 7 days of school and we are feeling it! Please consider supporting the pantry if you’re able. Current needs: Flour, sugar, snack items like fruit snacks or granola bars, dry beans, spaghetti sauce, size 2, 3 and 4 diapers, and lotion.
Also—if your garden has been abundant this year, please consider bringing us your extra produce! Bri Ditzler from the English department dropped off some zucchinis and students are loving them!

Bite Sized Equity is here!
Every Thursday from 8:30-9:00 on Zoom
Returning September 3rd, join us as you’re able for a weekly 30-minutes of building knowledge around topics like biases, authentic apologies, having difficult conversations & more!
