Digital Electronics In this course the student will study basic logic gates and flip-flops and learn to use them in simple digital circuits. Number systems used in digital electronics will be studied. Truth tables and Boolean algebra will be used to analyze, design, and manipulate digital logic circuits. The course will investigate various renewable energy systems including solar electric, solar hot water, passive solar, wind, and geothermal. In the lab portion of the course the student will build several renewable energy systems and in doing so see how the various components function.
