Introduction to Cell Biology An introduction to the field of cell biology with a focus on the basic unit of life, the cell - its function, chemistry, metabolism, and structure. Must be passed with a grade of "C" or better to qualify as a prerequisite for other Biology courses. (Prerequisites: College-level reading and writing) (0 hrs lec/2 hrs lab/0 hrs OJT)

General Ecology Exploration of theories and principles that govern relationships between organisms and the environment for individuals, populations, communities, ecosystems, and the biosphere. An emphasis is placed on use of primary literature, experimental design, hypothesis testing and statistical analysis, and scientific writing. Lab includes travel to local sites of ecological significance and interest. Intended for students interested in majoring in biology, environmental science, or natural resources.
