Practical Nursing Clinical II This course provides students with clinical experiences that advance foundational nursing skills through direct care of stable clients with acute and chronic health conditions. Students will develop clinical judgment, prioritize nursing interventions, and apply evidence-based practices for more complex clients. Focus areas include safe and accurate medication administration, collaborative teamwork, and consistent application of ethical and legal principles in nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning and the ability to respond appropriately and efficiently to evolving client situations and recognizing changes in client condition. Practical Nursing Clinical IV This course provides students with clinical experiences that integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors acquired throughout the nursing program. Students will demonstrate competence in providing safe, effective, and prioritized care. Emphasis is placed on providing care for multiple clients with complex needs, including those experiencing polypharmacy and multiple comorbidities. Students will refine clinical judgment, communication, time management, and documentation skills while actively reflecting on the responsibilities and scope of practice of the professional practical nurse. This course supports the transition from student to graduate nurse, with a strong focus on readiness for entry into professional practice.
