January, National Thank You Month, invites us to pause and reflect on the countless contributions that make our college community extraordinary. It is easy to move quickly through the work of each semester—planning, teaching, learning, building, solving—and overlook the people whose dedication fuels our mission. January gives us the rare opportunity to slow down and acknowledge them.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our faculty and staff whose expertise, compassion, and innovation define the student experience. Every class prepared, every conversation held, every challenge navigated, and every student supported adds to the legacy of this institution. Our students succeed not by accident, but through your unwavering commitment.

To our students, thank you for trusting us with your education and your dreams. You inspire us to do better, to think differently, and to imagine what is possible for our community, our state, and our future workforce.

To our alumni and partners across industry, government, and the nonprofit community—thank you for believing in our mission and investing in our students. Your collaboration expands opportunity far beyond our own campus.

Gratitude is more than a sentiment; it is a practice. When we recognize the contributions of others, we strengthen the bonds that make our institution resilient and future-focused. As we celebrate National Thank You Month, I invite each LSC employee to send a quick “Wave” to a colleague – a short message of thanks, recognition, or encouragement. A simple acknowledgement can make a meaningful difference, and together we can create a culture where appreciation is visible and shared.

Thank you for all you do, and for all we will accomplish together in the year ahead.

Thanks!

Linda
