The LSC Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program admissions process is competitive. It’s a separate process from becoming an LSC student. All Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program applicants who complete the application will be considered for admission to the program. Meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. View FAQs

Become an LSC student

Before you apply to the Inside-Out program you must apply and become an LSC student.

You don’t need to re-apply to LSC if you’ve taken classes here in the last 2 years. If you’ve taken classes for credit at LSC in the last 2 years, you are still active in our system. If it’s been 2 years or more since you took a class, you will need to apply again. However, to apply to the Inside-Out program, you will need to complete the program-specific application.

LSC Professional Advisors
We highly recommend you meet with a professional LSC advisor as you begin your program and throughout to address any questions you may have: pat@lsc.edu (218) 733-7601

Background check
If you have been arrested, charged, or convicted of any criminal offense, you should investigate the impact that the arrest, charge, or conviction may have on your chances of employment in the field you intend to study. All students undergo a background check.

The class is facilitated by a Lake Superior College instructor who has been trained and certified by the national Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.
