Robert Zbikowski hired as physics faculty at LSC

Robert Zbikowski has been hired as a full-time physics instructor at Lake Superior College, starting this fall semester.

Zbikowski has a master’s degree in educational administration from University of Minnesota, along with graduate credits in physics from University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and also in mathematics from St. Cloud State University and in engineering from North Carolina State University.

Over the past 28 years, he has been employed by the State of Minnesota at a number of two-year colleges. Since 1998, he has taught physics, engineering, and meteorology at Hibbing Community College, including interactive television (ITV) classes for students at Rochester Community and Technical College since 2003 and Ridgewater College since 2007. His prior teaching experience also includes eight years at Century College, teaching physics, engineering, natural science, mathematics, and computer science.

He has also worked as a physics lab assistant, a College in the Schools mentor, and in community education and Upward Bound. Over the past eight years, he has also made hundreds of visits to elementary schools presenting science enrichment lessons to grades 1-5 in the Hibbing School District.
