Lake Superior College’s VP of Administration Al Finlayson Recognized for Outstanding Work at the Minnesota State 2018 CFO Annual Conference

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Al Finlayson, Vice-President of Administration at Lake Superior College, was recognized for his outstanding work at the 2018 CFO Annual Conference held this morning, Friday, December 7, at the Minnesota State system office in St. Paul. Vice-President Finlayson received a Next Gen All-Star Award.

NEXT GEN ALL-STARS AWARD

This award, presented for the first time this year, recognizes individuals or teams whose efforts support the design, coordination, and implementation of the system’s ERP conversion efforts. Award criteria include campus and system leadership and commitment to the successful planning for and implementation of the system’s new enterprise data system. Laura King, vice chancellor and Chief Financial Officer of Minnesota State said, “These colleagues have done an outstanding job getting the project off on the right foot, representing our interests in the design discussions, and balancing all of the deadlines and demands of their campus work with the enterprise effort.”

The award was presented to Kari Christiansen of Central Lakes College, Al Finlayson of Lake Superior College, Deb Kerkaert of Southwest Minnesota State University, Rick Straka of Minnesota State University, Mankato, and Denise Kirkeby of the System Office for their extraordinary contributions to the Next Gen ERP project.
