Winter Safety Tips...Slow and Steady

We would like to remind everyone to be safe while on campus during the winter months. No matter how well the snow and ice are removed from sidewalks and parking lots, people may encounter some slippery surfaces. 

• Take your time
• Select appropriate footwear – flat footwear with rubber soles provides best traction 
• Keep both hands out of pockets for balance
• Avoid taking shortcuts (Use Main Entrances only to enter/exit buildings, not side entrances)
• Hold onto your vehicle when going in/out for support
• Be sure to use floor mats when entering a building to remove moisture from your shoes

Give Kids A Smile - February 2

As coordinated by the Minnesota Dental Association the Lake Superior College Dental Hygiene Clinic will once again take part in the Give Kids A Smile initiative on Friday, February 2. The clinic will offer free services for children from low-income families who don’t have access to dental care.

Appointments are available on Friday, February 2 at the LSC Dental Hygiene Clinic.

What You Need to Do if you Get COVID-19?

COVID-19 rates are on the rise again. Here is what you need to do if you get COVID-19, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

Individuals should stay home from day 0(first day of symptoms/positive test results) and return on Day 6 if they feel better. However, should wear a mask until Day 11.

HLC Visit: 3 Weeks Away

We’re inching closer to our February 12-13 HLC Site Visit!  We are so excited to showcase our fabulous LSC people, activities, and facility.  Next to graduation events, this is one of the most important events we’ll have on campus this year.
