Student Success Day will be celebrated next Tuesday, February 13 - be sure to check out the information here as well as on the LSC website. There are many entertaining and informative sessions to attend as well as a free Subway lunch! Be sure to walk through the Student Club Showcase at 11 a.m. in the commons. You might find an organization to join!
You can still play recreational sports volleyball, basketball or rock climbing - just send me an email at [email protected] to complete a sports waiver.

Student Success Day is a conference-style event hosted by LSC each semester to support your academic and personal success. Sessions are offered by LSC faculty and staff, community members, local businesses, non-profits, and 4-year institutions.

We’re inching closer to our February 12-13 HLC Site Visit! We are so excited to showcase our fabulous LSC people, activities, and facility. Next to graduation events, this is one of the most important events we’ll have on campus this year.

Student Satisfaction Survey Arriving February 13
LSC students will begin receiving email instructions on Tuesday, February 13 to take the Student Satisfaction Survey (SSI). The SSI survey is administered every spring in even years.
The survey will be available through March 13 and those who take the survey will be eligible to win an item up to $25 from the LSC Store. Winners will be notified via their LSC email if their names were drawn.
This survey as it is a key indicator in determining if LSC is meeting your expectations and needs as students.

Name A Library Cart Contest
The LSC Library invites students to help us name our book carts. Please submit your most witty, unique LSC/IceHawk, Minnesota or book-themed ideas to name our library carts.
Names like "Paul McCartney" or "Kim Cartdashian" for example.
Submissions will be accepted through Friday, March 1

Financial Literacy Session for Students Next Wednesday
Affinity Plus and the Center for Equity and Inclusion are once again hosting a series of financial literacy sessions open to all students! The next session is Wednesday, February 21, 2024 on All Things Budgeting.
Sessions are held in the Center for Equity and Inclusion (M125) from 12-1 p.m. and lunch is served to those who attend.

Olga Walker Awards and Author Event
LSC’s Center for Equity and Inclusion is a proud sponsor of this year’s Duluth Library Foundation Olga Walker author event featuring David Heska Wanbli Weiden, the award-winning author of Winter Counts.
Saturday, February 25, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Greysolon Ballroom.
Attendees are invited to lunch and a presentation by the author, an enrolled citizen of the Sicangu Lakata Nation and acclaimed by the New York Times as one of “the most critically acclaimed young novelists working now.”

Graduating this spring or summer?
If you are completing the requirements of your degree, diploma or certificate this spring or summer, congratulations!
LSC will hold a Grad Fair on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Commons. This is a great opportunity to verify that you have met graduation requirements, verify “honors” status, visit with an advisor or financial aid representative, purchase your cap/gown/tassel, and more!
Don’t forget to Apply to Graduate by March 31, 2024, in order to be included in the Commencement program.
Commencement will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center.
ALL students must apply to graduate in order to have your award(s) listed on your LSC transcript.
