The associate of science degree program is ACEN accredited, and the diploma program was ranked a top LPN program in the state by PracticalNursing.org.

Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Nursing Assistant 3-credit certificate is designed to prepare the student for basic entry-level employment in a long-term care facility, hospital or other medical setting.

Practical Nursing (LPN)

The Practical Nursing diploma is designed for students to complete a two-semester program of study, after completing pre-technical courses/ requirements, in practical nursing that utilizes both theory and clinical course work as well as laboratory simulation. Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses). Once licensed, graduates of this program are eligible to apply to LSC’s Nursing AS Advanced Standing LPN Track to further their education in nursing.

Professional Nursing (RN)

The Professional Nursing associate of science (AS) degree program prepares students to complete a program of study in professional nursing that utilizes both theory and clinical course work as well as laboratory simulation. Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses). Graduates of this program may apply to another college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing after completing their AS degree and becoming a registered nurse.
