Celebrate International Open Access Week and the Lake Superior College Zero Heroes!

Textbooks can be expensive and add significantly to the cost of attending college. Meet just a few of your Lake Superior College Zero Heroes who have worked hard to reduce those costs for students. By working to convert their course materials to open education resources, they helped LSC students save upwards of $294,000 this fall alone!

Flip the cards to see what classes they teach (note the semester when the course is offered). Learn more about Z‑degree, the Zero textbook cost associate degree and all the classes at LSC with zero textbook costs.

International Open Access Week, October 19-26, is an opportunity to recognize faculty who have gone above and beyond to save students on textbook costs.

“Zero-cost was an amazing surprise that helped me not to drop this class. I have to pay for my own schooling this year, and this really helps.”
