English & Math Tutor – Neighborhood Youth Services
LSC Student Positions: All applicants must be enrolled at least part-time and have a financial aid award letter on-file (award letter not required for PSEO and most International students). Student Employment Policy.
Hours per Week: 10

Work Schedule: varies – hours between 2:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

Job Location: Neighborhood Youth Services – Washington Center; 310 N. 1st Ave. W., Duluth, MN 55806

Responsibilities/Description: Seeking an enthusiastic tutor to work up to 10 hours per week with culturally diverse youth at our Neighborhood Youth Services (NYS) program. NYS is a community-based after school program for youth ages 6-18 located in downtown Duluth. The tutor would be responsible for supporting elementary, middle, and high school youths’ academic achievement through proactive and on-demand tutoring services offered at NYS.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be competent in English and Math, possess effective verbal and written communication skills, have direct experience working with youth ages 6-17 in an academic or similar enrichment environment, and be working towards a degree in education, human services, or a similar field with demonstrated experience related to the position. Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
