Our Class A Fuel Transport Drivers are the backbone of our operation and you’ll deliver products to people who depend on our products for everyday life! Class A Transport Drivers at Edwards care about their truck & teammates, value nightly home time, can be relied upon for running a set schedule and can choose from a variety of schedules to meet their job requirements. Class  A Transport Drivers should understand basic maintenance procedures, feel comfortable with e-logging systems, and truck equipment repairs. Class A Transport Drivers must be highly ethical and ensure their equipment and logs are in compliance with State, Federal and Local law.

Candidates Should:

  • Communicate well with other drivers and dispatch

  • Be open to hauling a variety of hazardous material products, including: Ethanol, Refined Fuels, Propane & Bio Diesel.



The Class A Hazmat Truck Triver position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation work in delivering bulk products within the regional service area. Driver is responsible for pre and post trip truck inspections, maintaining an electronic log book, completion of delivery paperwork (shipping papers, load tickets, delivery tickets), reconciliation of customer checks at end of shift, loading and delivery of proper product, incident/accident reporting, reporting maintenance issues to mechanics and local management, effective communication with offices, knowledge of customer delivery sites, complete daily paperwork in accordance with company standards and compliance with federal, state and local laws.

  1. Complete Pre/Post Trip Inspections Daily

  2. Plan route to ensure most economical use of time and equipment.

  3. Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane/fuels to and from specified destinations.

  4. Compliance with Local, State and Federal Laws

  5. Delivery of Fuel, Gasoline, Propane or Other Products to customers’

  6. Ability to Operate Equipment Unsupervised

  7. Ensure adequate spill response materials are on truck to respond to an emergency

  8. Complete daily loading and delivery paperwork to company requirements.

  9. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

  10. Ensures customer site is compliant with safety regulations and company policies.

  11. Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires

  12. Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to plant/yard maintenance or dock work.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works & drives various weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet, cold, icy, hot and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, flammable liquids and gasses.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate while in the truck and occasionally loud when making deliveries to Job Sites.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The class A truck drivers are constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Drivers are occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The driver will occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with shift work Midnight to Noon or Noon to Midnight. Schedule is Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs for both shifts


Travel is primarily regional during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma or equivalent

  2. At least 3-5 years of hazardous materials experience

  3. Class A CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

  4. Ability to pass DOT physical and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.

  5. Clean driving record as evidenced by current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

  6. Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.

  7. Genuine commitment to providing superior Customer Service.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Demonstrated drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.

  2. Knowledge of Electronic Log Book & Computer

  3. TWIC Card

  4. 200,000 miles local driving experience
