The Physical Therapist Assistant–Military Bridge program eliminates time and financial barriers for both veterans and taxpayers, who would otherwise pay both for the initial military training and for the re-training outside the military, through veterans’ federal education benefits. Can I apply if I was dishonorably discharged? If honorably discharged from the service, a copy of DD form 214 (Certificate of Release of Discharge from Active Duty). Admission applications must be received within 1 year of discharge to ensure the preservation of clinical skill competencies. Applications received after 1 year may be considered if continued employment as a physical therapy technician/specialist can be verified. Student selection Students who become LSC students and complete all PTA Military Bridge pre-program requirements will be admitted to the PTA Military Bridge program as long as there are available seats in the program.
