T3C Tri Campus and Community Coalition on Student Drinking
Alcohol abuse by some college students is recognized as a problem nationally.
Heavy use of alcohol by students impacts the quality of drinkers’ lives (lower grades, sleep disruption, injury). It disrupts roommates and fellow students. It leads to security concerns and property damage on campuses. It extends into communities adjacent to campuses where noise and inappropriate behavior by drunken students negatively effect the quality of life of non student residents.
Three Duluth Minnesota campuses, the College of St. Scholastica, University of Minnesota Duluth, and Lake Superior College, have joined with the community to form a coalition on student drinking.
