The group will meet three times during the academic year with the first meeting to be held Oct. 25. Members will serve a three-year term. Advisory committees play an important role for LSC in helping to connect occupational and academic programs to the community. The Liberal Arts and Sciences division oversees the Associate in Arts degree program (one of the college's largest programs,) the Associate in Science degree program, and the new Associate in Fine Arts degree program. LSC is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. With more than 5,000 students enrolled this past spring semester, LSC is Northeastern Minnesota's largest two-year college.
